Gratitude

She held her hand high up in the air, with her eyes fixed on the sky her legs slightly shaking despite the warm breeze kissing her gently. Her eyes were filled, not in misery or longing but in gratitude. She never thought in her wildest dreams that her lungs will breathe freely again, that her eyes will see so much of the sky and feel it in her heart. She couldn’t believe what she survived, she never thought she had it in her. So so much of gratitude, it seemed like she’d collapse any second, but she didn’t, she couldn’t. He held her throughout everything and It wasn’t her time to collapse, it was her time to fly. It was all so unreal as if it’d vanish in a blink of eye, tears filling her eyes; blurring the view every now and then and rolling down her face. Her heart was beating in utmost submission towards its Owner, the Lord of seven skies, the Rehmaan and Raheem. Sun shining subtly, her hair in the air, her feet naked on the earth; and she fell down without any realisation, without any hesitation she performed sajdah in the middle of nowhere with her eyes closed and heart bowed down. She was filled with gratitude and what better way to show it than humility infront of Him. // Khuwab Ghar
