When you’re comfortable, let it go.

It is almost unreal how we undress our dreams in the arms of a stranger. Unzipping the clothes that covered those ambitions for an eternity, ready to experience the overwhelming rush of adrenaline that comes afterwards. Because strangers, they don’t care about the size and shape of our dreams, they won’t shame us for that. They’ll look away from the scars that we think makes our thoughts look hideous and will simply make love with the beautiful hopes that we carry in our hearts. There is an immense pleasure in shedding everything we used to cover our curves with, the curves of aspirations that a girl was too bold to hold. The curves of things we used to believe in, and were forced to hide under layers and layers of baggy pretence and scarves of cultural values that doesn’t go with what we wear. The ‘values’ that clips the wings of every young girl who dreams of anything other than getting married and birthing child after child, and bowing down to everyone who surrounds her.

It is unreal; the pleasure that comes afterwards when we feel naked lying in the bed and yet every part of our body is fully covered, fully dressed. When the burden of everything is suddenly off us and we heave a sigh. Recalling the relief in getting touched in the places so deep in our hearts, pious and untouched, we feel lighter than the feather falling from the sky. We need to lose this virginity of our dreams in the arms of the people who care for us or maybe with random strangers because beyond the comfort that it holds, it is necessary to shed that baggage of cold sadness and let your heart be free once and for all. We might not see these strangers in the morning but if it is worth letting go of the weight you’ve carried for years, than it is worth a shot.

Let it go, breath by breath, slowly and casually. When your comfortable with it, let it go.
